I love the message of this photograph.
If you are eating to lose weight or for cosmetic reasons, unless you are an actress or a model, it's not going to be enough.
If you are eating for health and have a serious illness, then you REALLY can't have that.
If you are eating for ethical reasons such as veganism, then certain foods you CAN'T have either.
Our "why" is a big part of our motivation and commitment and follow through.
What is your WHY?
Remember to watch your self-talk and how you word things.
Good health is a CHOICE.
I have to admit, that I have craved off and on something sweet since giving up fruit. But once I eat my protein meals, and make sure my blood sugar is up, I'm fine again. I have to plan, though, and that's key.
It's choices you make every single day that add up.

Hey Michele, it's me again. Not meaning to hog the whole comment section ;-)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to shout out how not even a single craving for sweets since came off the water fast, which is so amazing. Even when I did have a dessert of some sort at a restaurant it did not excite me, and I left 80% of it behind, just did not satisfy me at all. I ate high fruit for a few months at a time, on and off, but I always loved and craved sweets immensely. I did try Fuhrman's GOMBS diet last year, but did not last more than 6 weeks, the beans just killed me. Now I do a high green/low starch/20-30% fat diet, and have no desire to eat all day, as I always felt. My fats are avocados (3 a day), 1TBsp. flax oil, and some sesame seeds ground fresh on top of soups.
You are most likely right, if one keeps the high green in sight at all times, the cravings just never show up.
